We have realized that after being married for years and after the honeymoon phase, and the demands of work, life and responsibilities increase, it is easy for us to get into an autopilot mode. The downside of this is that we could begin to take our spouses for granted. The truth is that we cannot invest in our marriages passively or put our marriage investment on autopilot, we need to do so actively.
